U12: Winners from Botvinnik School

Worldwide U12 Center A – November 4, 2020

Worldwide U12 top-level Center A team tournament saw a great fight between Botvinnik Chess (Moscow, Russia) and UEC Coronel Pringles (Argentina), with young Botvinnik students coming first. This is not the first triumph for the Russian team, as they managed to win this competition (and former U11 category) several times. In the beginnings they used to bring smaller number of players and succeded in giving high performance, but nowadays they bring many more players into competition and we can expect many nice results in the future. Botvinnik Chess School, established in 1936, nowadays is a leading top chess school in Russia. The school was named after Mikhail Botvinnik, who was Soviet and Russian chess grandmaster and 6th World chess champion. Botvinnik chess school has brought up vast number of winners of World, Europe and National (Russian) level championships.
