U8: Kstovo continues domination

Eminent Chess Academy, New Delhi achieved their first win in Worldwide U8 Division East, that was held on February 3, 2021. In Division Center A, repeated success for СШ 2 Кстово (Sport School №2 Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), currently the strongest and most successful U8 team in Worldwide competition. Second place for numerous Latvia Junior Chess team, and third for Arriba PERÚ.

This was the first time we had over 10 teams in one group: Lichess platform enabled for bigger team battles. Worldwide league was slightly adapted, keeping upper division for 10 best teams exclusively, and others play in one bigger group, Center B. Three teams got promoted in the top league: Mouflon Chess Team (Cyprus), Schachfreunde München (Germany) and Chess_Profi (Russia).

Division East: First place for Eminent Chess Academy (New Delhi, India), their first triumph in U8 competition. Second place for Этюд (Etud, Ekaterinburg, Russia) and third for SHARP KIDS Under 8 (Philippines).

Division West: Repeated success for Fox Valley Chess Club (USA). Arriba PERÚ came second and Brazilian Young Chess Team came third.

This edition of Worldwide U8 League attracted 274 players. Next event is scheduled on February 17, 2021.

On Saturday, February 27 we are organizing Worldwide Festival, to give a chance for our young players to have a high-level, arbiter-controlled event. Tournaments will take place on Tornelo (a platform of choice for the World Youth & Cadets Championships).
