Shakhty wins U12, Kstovo best in U10

U12 players from Shakhty (Сборная Шахты) Russia have won the third round of Worldwide U12 League. Latvia Junior Chess (Latvia) and Chess_Profi (Russia) teams have once again arrived at the second and third place respectively.

Three teams from Center B will be promoted to group A for the next round: СШ 2 Кстово, Colchester Junior Chess Club, Arriba PERÚ.

Division East: Alpha Chess Titans Team (Malaysia) scored a win, with Champions Chess Academy (India) on second place, and Sharp Kids Diamonds (Philippines) on third.

Division West: win for Arriba PERÚ. Second place for Fox Valley Chess Club (USA), and third for Rey de reyes Chess Kid (Peru).

In total, 432 children participated. Round 4 is Scheduled on October 20, 2021.


U8 Center tournament: СШ 2 Кстово (Russia) won, Latvia Junior Chess (Latvia) came second, and Schachfreunde München (Germany) came third.

U10 League: Very exciting triple battle in U10 Center ended in СШ 2 Кстово (Kstovo, Russia) coming just one point ahead of Chess_Profi (Russia) and Ученики И.Погорелова tied for second place.

Division East: victory in round 3 went to IMA (Malaysia), with PCA (Malaysia) coming second and Sharp Kids (Philippines) coming third.

Division West: win for Rey de reyes Chess Kid (Peru). Second place for The Knights of Chess (Canada). Third place for Fox Valley Chess Club (USA).

249 children participated in this event. Round 4 is scheduled on October 27.


Center Divison U10 and U12 teams will compete from September through December, 8 rounds in each age category, with a scoring system that will see the first fifteen teams in each round receiving points for the final standings (20-18-16-14-12-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1) and compete for the overall win in the Worldwide Autumn League. If the tournament has more groups, the first 10 places are taken from A group, and the rest from the B group, until fifteen teams get points. U8 group will receive half the points (10-8-6-4-3-2-1).

Worldwide Junior Chess League is an online chess competition for children. Started as a collaboration of several chess enthusiasts, the tournament became very popular, with more than 2000 children participating, coming from more than 70 countries.

Worldwide tournament has been free for all participants for over a year now, but the amount of resources to keep it running has increased greatly. In order to continue running the League for free, some financial backup is necessary.
All coaches, clubs, academies, and organizations, together with all the parents, are invited to help donate.
